Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using TradeStars (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Platform.
TradeStars is operated by the TradeStars contributors. References to “we,” “us,” or “our” refer to the team and contributors behind the Platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use TradeStars. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that your use complies with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws.
3. Account Registration
To use TradeStars, you must create an account through our authentication provider, Privy. By creating an account, you also agree to Privy’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Privy manages your login credentials and may create an embedded Solana wallet on your behalf.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
4. The Game
TradeStars is a fantasy sports trading game. Users pay an entry fee in USDC to join weekly arenas, receive virtual credits, and trade player shares. Virtual credits have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn. Prize pools are funded entirely by entry fees and distributed to top-performing portfolios at the end of each arena.
We reserve the right to modify game rules, scoring systems, entry fees, payout structures, and any other game parameters at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
5. Entry Fees and Payouts
Entry fees are paid in USDC on the Solana blockchain. All transactions are final once confirmed on-chain. Payouts are distributed automatically to winners’ Solana wallets upon arena settlement. We are not responsible for failed transactions due to network congestion, insufficient funds, or wallet errors.
6. Virtual Credits
Virtual credits are issued upon arena entry and exist solely within the context of that arena. They have no monetary value, cannot be transferred between arenas or users, and cannot be exchanged for USDC or any other currency. Credits reset at the end of each arena.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the Platform
- Exploit bugs, glitches, or vulnerabilities in the Platform
- Collude with other users to manipulate outcomes
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent entry limits
- Use the Platform for money laundering or any illegal activity
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform’s infrastructure
Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension or termination, forfeiture of any pending payouts, and potential legal action.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, software, and design elements on the Platform are owned by the TradeStars contributors or their licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.
9. Third-Party Services
The Platform relies on third-party services including Privy (authentication and wallet management), the Solana blockchain (payments and settlement), and sports data providers (real-time match data). We are not responsible for outages, errors, or changes to these third-party services. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies.
10. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or the accuracy of sports data feeds. Fantasy sports involve risk — past performance does not guarantee future results.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the TradeStars contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of funds, data, or profits, arising from your use of the Platform.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the TradeStars contributors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.
13. Modifications
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform. Your continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from or relating to the Platform shall be resolved in accordance with the dispute resolution mechanism determined by the TradeStars governance process.
