Frequently Asked Questions

Getting Started

What do I need to play TradeStars?

A TradeStars account and enough TradeStars USD balance to enter paid arenas. TradeStars uses Privy  for authentication — you can sign in with email, Google, or connect an existing wallet. If you don’t have a wallet, one is created for you automatically.

How much does it cost to play?

Each paid arena entry costs $10 from your TradeStars USD balance. You can enter multiple arenas across different leagues simultaneously, and up to 10 entries in the same arena.

What sports are available?

TradeStars currently supports Football (Premier League, La Liga, and more) and Cricket (T20) (IPL, international T20s). New leagues are added regularly.

Is TradeStars a live fantasy cricket app?

Yes. TradeStars supports live fantasy cricket trading in T20 competitions, including IPL-style formats. Instead of locking a lineup before the match, you buy and sell cricket player shares as the week unfolds.

Is there a mobile app?

TradeStars is a web app that works on any device — desktop, tablet, or phone. No download required.

Trading & Portfolio

Can I withdraw my credits?

No. Credits are virtual currency used only for trading within an arena. They reset every week and cannot be converted to money or withdrawn. Only prize pool payouts are real-money balance.

Can I withdraw my winnings?

Yes. Prize payouts are credited to your TradeStars USD balance after final settlement. Eligible users can request a withdrawal from their profile.

Can I trade while matches are live?

Yes. Trading is always open. You can buy, sell, or trim positions before, during, and after fixtures.

Can I trade during live T20 cricket matches?

Yes. Cricket player shares stay tradeable during live T20 matches. Many managers rotate from batters into bowlers as the match state changes, with scoring impact starting on the next official stats refresh.

Why didn’t my live buy get the latest goal points immediately?

Live trades fill instantly, but score impact starts on the next official stats refresh. This fairness rule prevents users with faster feeds from sniping just-recorded events.

How do cricket player shares score points?

Cricket player shares earn fantasy points from real T20 actions such as runs, wickets, catches, stumpings, strike-rate bonuses, and economy-rate bonuses. The more shares you hold while the player earns points, the larger the contribution to your leaderboard score.

What happens if a match is postponed?

If a match is postponed during an active arena, shares in players from that fixture remain tradeable. The postponed match will not count toward that arena’s scoring. Your credits tied to those players are not lost — you can sell and reinvest.

What happens if a player gets injured mid-match?

The player still earns fantasy points for actions before the injury. If they’re subbed off before 45 minutes, they receive the reduced appearance bonus (+1 instead of +2). Trading stays open during live play, so you can reduce or close exposure immediately.

What if a player is dropped from the squad?

Players who don’t appear in a match earn zero fantasy points. Their shares remain tradeable — you can sell them to recover credits. This is why monitoring team news and lineups is part of the strategy.

Can I cancel an entry and get a refund?

No. Once you enter an arena, the $10 entry fee is committed to the prize pool. This ensures the prize pool is guaranteed for all participants.

Scoring & Leaderboard

How is my score calculated?

Your score is based on how many shares you held while players earned points over time. During live matches, buys and sells start affecting score on the next official stats refresh. See Scoring Rules for the full formula and scoring tables.

Do I keep the fantasy points if I sell a player?

Yes. Fantasy points earned while you held shares are permanently locked into your score. Selling a player frees up credits but does not remove their point contribution.

Can two players have the same score?

In rare cases, yes. Tiebreakers are resolved by total portfolio credit value at finalization, then by time of last trade (earlier wins). See Payouts for details.

How is TradeStars different from FPL or locked-lineup fantasy football?

TradeStars is a fantasy football trading game, not a deadline-based lineup contest. You can buy and sell football player shares throughout the week instead of locking one squad before kickoff and waiting for the results.

Payouts & Money

How do I add USD?

Use Add USD in the app, choose an amount and supported local payment method, then follow the checkout instructions. Your TradeStars USD balance updates after payment confirmation.

How are payouts distributed?

The top 3 portfolios split the prize pool: 50% / 30% / 20%. After fixtures finish, results enter review and result checks become available. Payouts are credited automatically to winner balances after settlement finalizes, with the exact amounts shown in the app. See Payouts & Final Results for full details.

When do I get paid?

After all fixtures in the arena are settled, the final result enters a review window. No manual claim is needed; payouts happen automatically once settlement finalizes.

What if very few people enter an arena?

Arenas require a minimum number of entries to activate. If the threshold isn’t met, all entry fees are refunded in full.

Is there a rake or platform fee?

The current payout model distributes 100% of the prize pool to winners. Platform fee structures may evolve — any changes will be communicated in advance.

Technical & Security

Where is my money held?

Paid entries are backed by Solana collateral and settlement records — not just an internal spreadsheet. Payout roots and final settlement transactions are auditable.

Can I verify the results?

Yes. Every completed arena publishes result checks, and final payout transactions are recorded on Solana. Normal users can review final scores and payouts, while technical audit data remains available for independent checking.

What blockchain does TradeStars use?

TradeStars uses Solana for game balance, arena settlement, payout roots, and withdrawal requests. Deposits can also involve supported funding rails before they appear as TradeStars USD balance in the app.
