Payouts & Final Results
At the end of each arena, leaderboard rankings are closed for review, result data is published for checking, and the prize pool is distributed to top-performing portfolios after the review window.
Finalization Flow
- All fixtures finish — every match in the arena’s fixture calendar is completed
- Final scores calculated — each portfolio’s total score is finalized
- Results under review — TradeStars publishes the score and payout data used for checking
- Payouts distributed — after the review window, the prize pool is split according to the payout model
After the last fixture is settled, results enter a review window. You can check your score and report an issue before payout finalization. Payouts are distributed automatically when settlement completes.
Prize Pool
The prize pool for each arena is funded by entry fees:
Prize Pool = Number of Entries × Entry Fee ($10)
For example, an arena with 50 entries has a $500 prize pool.
Minimum entries required. Arenas need a minimum number of entries to activate. If the threshold isn’t met before the first fixture, the arena is cancelled and all entry fees are refunded in full to your TradeStars USD balance.
Payout Model
The standard payout model distributes to the top 3 portfolios:
| Place | Share | Example ($500 pool) |
|---|---|---|
| 1st | 50% | $250 |
| 2nd | 30% | $150 |
| 3rd | 20% | $100 |
Payouts are credited in whole USD amounts. When a prize pool does not divide evenly, the final amounts shown in the app are the exact payout amounts for that arena.
If you run multiple entries and more than one finishes in the top 3, each entry is paid separately.
What Affects Your Payout
Your final ranking depends on your total portfolio score, which is driven by:
- Player selection — which players you held shares in
- Position sizing — how many shares you held
- Timing — when you bought and sold
- Credit efficiency — how well you recycled credits through the fixture calendar
Two managers holding the same players can have very different scores based on share count alone.
Tiebreakers
In the rare case of identical scores, tiebreakers are resolved by:
- Total credit value of portfolio at finalization
- Time of last trade (earlier last trade wins)
On-Chain Transparency
TradeStars settles payouts on Solana. Entry fees are backed by on-chain collateral, proposed payout data is published for review, and final payouts are recorded transparently.
Every arena’s prize pool, result data, and payout transaction can be reviewed. You can check the proposed payout result before finalization and confirm the exact amounts distributed on-chain.
This means:
- Entry fees are secured on-chain — paid entries are backed by Solana collateral, not just an internal spreadsheet
- Result data is published before payout — completed arenas expose result checks during review
- Payouts are automated — once the review window ends, the contract credits winners
- Full auditability — result records and settlement transactions can be checked
After Finalization
Once an arena is finalized:
- All portfolio positions are closed
- Credits are zeroed out (they are arena-scoped, not withdrawable)
- Payouts are credited to winners’ TradeStars USD balances
- Eligible users can request withdrawals from their profile
- A new arena opens for the next week
